Senior Mechanical Engineer - Test Equipment (P3)

Tucson, Arizona

Work Schedule: 9/80A

Contract

$78.25/hr

Position Summary

• Leads the design, development, documentation, and maintenance of advanced mechanical test systems for client effector products.
• Develops solutions for production testing environments including vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical systems.
• Applies expertise in mechanical design, CAD modeling, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, configuration management, and test system integration.
• Supports validation of test systems to meet performance and reliability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical test equipment and systems.
• Document and maintain advanced mechanical test systems.
• Develop solutions for production testing environments.
• Create and maintain CAD models using ProE/CREO Parametric.
• Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis.
• Apply configuration management practices.
• Integrate and validate test systems.
• Ensure test systems meet required performance and reliability standards.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience required.
• Experience with mechanical design.
• Experience with CAD modeling using ProE/CREO Parametric.
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with configuration management.
• Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Domestic travel may be required
