We are actively seeking a Data Center Mechanical Critical Facilities Engineer who is committed to working in a critical environment that values continuous improvement and embraces change! A Data Center Mechanical Critical Facilities Engineer is a highly specialized professional whose extensive knowledge and expertise are pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing thermal and environmental systems within data centers. Ensure the continuity of critical operations by applying a deep understanding of HVAC principles, mechanical engineering, and physical sciences. Serve as a key advisor to collaborators by analyzing data, identifying inefficiencies, and developing innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption, maintain optimal temperatures and humidity levels, and improve data center reliability and availability. Compile comprehensive reports, draft detailed specifications, and provide hands-on guidance throughout the deployment and maintenance phases. Collaborate multi-functionally to drive the adoption of groundbreaking technologies, such as fluid dynamics management, economizers, free cooling systems, and remote monitoring, to build backbones for sustainable and efficient data center management. Drive operational enhancements to improve performance, reduce costs, and ensure the successful scalability of data center facilities.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational achievements and practical experience. 5+ years of practical experience in mechanical engineering, operations within a data center or similar critical operations environment. Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Comprehensive understanding of data center infrastructure. Professional Engineer (PE) license. 7+ years of hands-on field experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within data center or similar environments. Experience in the design and implementation of mechanical systems tailored for sophisticated data centers. In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, encompassing chemical dosing, filtration, and testing. Experience using CFD simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace 3D, and Weil-McLain Water Treatment Software. Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Capability to work independently while also thriving as a member of a cross-functional team.
