Experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background managing commercial and mechanical construction projects throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Baltimore from preconstruction through closeout. Skilled in overseeing HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems; coordinating subcontractors; preparing RFIs; managing schedules and budgets; and maintaining project documentation in fast-paced environments. Proven ability to lead field and office teams, support client relationships, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within scope. Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management processes with a strong focus on organization, communication, and problem-solving.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of mechanical construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of project plans, schedules, budgets, and strategies.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Conduct project take-offs, including estimating quantities and costs of materials.
  • Manage piping design, installation, and maintenance activities.
  • Oversee renovation and replacement projects in hospitals, universities, and government facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction project management.
  • Proven experience in piping and take-off.
  • Experience managing renovation and replacement projects in hospitals, universities, and government facilities.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction processes, methods, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
