    Job Description / Role and Responsibilities

    Join a leading industrial automation manufacturer to head the production of next-generation material handling systems. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team to assemble high-quality conveyor machinery and related mechanical equipment. You will collaborate closely with plant leadership and project management to ensure projects are completed with technical precision in a fast-paced environment.

    • Lead a team of 1–3 mechanical assemblers, providing guidance on daily production goals and quality standards.
    • Execute the mechanical assembly of complex conveyor systems and related material handling equipment from start to finish.
    • Interpret engineering blueprints and technical schematics to ensure precise component alignment and placement.
    • Collaborate with the Assembly Manager, Plant Manager, and Project Management teams to troubleshoot build issues using a collaborative team approach.
    • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to verify product dimensions and quality metrics.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production floor in accordance with standard manufacturing safety protocols.


    Requirements

    Requirements

    • Experience: Previous experience in the conveyor industry or with heavy machinery assembly is highly preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blue prints and engineering drawings.
    • Tools & Software: Proficiency with standard hand and power tools, precise measurement tools (e.g., tape measures), and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel).
    • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, or climb ladders for a minimum of 8 hours a day, and safely lift or move up to 50 lbs.
    • Work Schedule: Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment.
    • Core Competencies: Ability to work independently or as part of a team, follow complex technical instructions, and adapt to shifting production priorities.
