Description

Construction Trades Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Mechanical Assembler to build, fit, and assemble mechanical components used in industrial equipment and custom manufacturing projects. This role requires hands‑on mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and drawings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, sub‑assemblies, and finished units according to blueprints or work instructions
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assembly tasks
  • Inspect parts for accuracy, alignment, and quality before and after assembly
  • Perform basic mechanical adjustments, fitting, and troubleshooting
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and part lists
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work closely with team leads and engineers to meet production goals
  • Assist with packaging, staging, and preparing completed assemblies for shipment
  • Document work performed and report any defects or issues

Qualifications

  • Previous mechanical assembly, machine building, or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read tape measures, calipers, and basic mechanical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial equipment
  • Basic electrical knowledge (not required)
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
