Job Title: Shop Technician
Location: Reno, NV 89502
Duration: 5+ Months (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour on W2

 
Job Summary
 seeking a Shop Technician (Production Assembler) to assemble fabricated parts, components, and units while ensuring products meet quality and performance standards. This role involves assembly, testing, calibration, machine setup, quality inspection, preventive maintenance, and material staging in a manufacturing environment.

 
Key Responsibilities
Assemble fabricated parts, components, and units according to work instructions.
Prepare parts for testing and perform testing and calibration to meet product specifications.
Perform machine setup for production operations.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Troubleshoot and repair units that fail testing or quality inspections.
Perform simple screening, bagging, boxing, and cutting operations.
Perform and document scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Stage materials for production according to procedures.
Determine the sequence of operations, required materials, and production procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
 
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly.
Experience using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to perform quality inspections and testing.
Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
Experience operating or setting up production equipment is preferred.
Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic computer skills for documentation and production logs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with testing and calibration.
Preventive maintenance experience.
Lean Manufacturing or 5S knowledge.
Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
