Job Summary:The Assembler will assemble manufactured products according to specifications.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble large machinery, fabricated metal products according to directions.
- Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to build to specification.
- Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous experience with and the ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Previous experience operating hand tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Detail-oriented.
- Consistent workmanship.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis; lift 50# on occasion.
- Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed including bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must wear safety glasses, face shield, gloves, and ear protection.
