Description
Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a mechanical assembler position at a manufacturing company in Newtown CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$25 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Assemble electrical and mechanical components using work instructions, diagrams and basic drawings
Solder wires, terminals, connectors and small components
Cut, strip, route and terminate wires using wire strippers, wire cutters, lug crimpers and similar tools
Install small components and hardware in tight or difficult-to-reach areas within an assembly
Properly use torque wrenches and common mechanical assembly tools
Inspect completed assemblies for quality standards
Report damaged parts, assembly issues or documentation discrepancies
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Work independently while cooperating with production, engineering and quality personnel
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Mechanical assembly and soldering experience
Experience using basic electrical and mechanical hand tools
Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, diagrams and basic drawings
Strong attention to detail, patience and manual dexterity
Ability to use hands and fingers to install small components in tight or difficult-to-reach areas within an assembly
Ability to inspect completed work and identify basic workmanship issues
Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team
