    Mechanical Engineer

    Location: Sparks, Nevada

    Overview:
    We’re looking for an experienced Mechanic with strong hands-on skills and diagnostic ability across multiple vehicle

    systems , from chassis to high-voltage components. If you’re a “bumper-to-bumper” technician who can troubleshoot,

    repair, and restore vehicles to OEM standards, we want you on our team.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Full-System Repairs: Diagnose and repair across all major systems — electrical, suspension, HVAC, body, and interior.
    • Electrical & Diagnostics: Perform electrical troubleshooting, harness and module repairs, and network communication diagnostics (CAN/LIN).
    • Chassis & Suspension: Repair and replace control arms, frame components, steering systems, and suspension assemblies. Perform wheel alignments and ride height verification.
    • Body & Interior: Repair and refit body panels, trim, glass, and interior components to OEM quality standards.
    • Sonic Welding: Set up and operate sonic welding equipment, verify weld parameters, inspect completed welds, and document results in accordance with approved work instructions and OEM quality standards.
    • Loose-Piece Commodity Rework: Perform bench and off-vehicle rework on loose-piece commodities, including electronic modules, wiring harnesses, connectors, brackets, trim, and related components.
    • Thermal & Fluid Systems: Service cooling, heating, and HVAC systems, including refrigerant recovery and leak detection.
    • High-Voltage Systems: Safely diagnose and repair EV components including batteries, inverters, and distribution modules (training provided if needed).

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician or equivalent.
    • Proven ability to perform diagnostics and major repairs independently.
    • Experience with EV systems preferred (not required).
    • Certifications: ASE xEV1 & xEV2 A1-A9 certifications and applicable sonic welding certifications or documented equipment-specific training are strongly preferred.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

    Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and schematics

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing and SMT processes

    Experience supporting automation, robotics, autonomous systems, or aerospace/defense products

    Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis

    Experience working with contract manufacturers and supplier development activities

    Basic scripting or programming experience

    Monday through Friday

    7:30AM – 5:30PM
