    Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Mechanic role in Sherwood, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components on heavy machinery and equipment.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure proper installation.
    • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assemblies.
    • Perform functional tests and quality inspections to ensure equipment meets specifications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues during assembly.
    • Follow safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve assembly processes and resolve issues.
    • Maintain an organized and clean workspace while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Proven experience as an Assembly Mechanic, Equipment Assembler, or similar role in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
    • Proficiency in using hand tools, torque wrenches, and measurement equipment.
    • Basic understanding of welding, machining, or fabrication is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Technical degree or certification in Mechanical Assembly, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
    • Experience working with cranes, forklifts, or large industrial machinery.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
