RTO Point S is seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and dependable operation. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on repair experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.


Key Responsibilities

·         Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or performance issues.
·         Diagnose problems using testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals.
·         Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, brake service, and tire rotations.
·         Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems in a timely and accurate manner.
·         An understanding of steering, suspension, and mechanical systems.
·         Test repaired equipment to ensure it operates properly and meets safety standards.
·         Maintain accurate service records, repair notes, and parts usage documentation.
·         Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
·         Communicate repair needs, timelines, and recommendations clearly to supervisors, service advisors, or customers.
·         Stay current on new tools, systems, and repair techniques.


Qualifications

·         Technical training in automotive, diesel, or equipment repair preferred.
·         Previous mechanic experience in a shop, fleet, dealership, or industrial setting preferred.
·         Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and repair software effectively.
·         Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
·         Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
·         Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced 
environment.
·         Ability to be on time and dependable.
·         A positive attitude is a must.

Physical Requirements

This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and working in varying temperatures and shop conditions. Proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures are always required.
