We are seeking a dedicated Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on our client's fleet of diesel-powered vehicles. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who is looking to grow in a stable, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic maintenance on diesel vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Inspect and service brakes, tires, batteries, and lighting systems
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical issues under the guidance of senior technicians
- Complete maintenance checklists and keep accurate service records
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Perform roadside service calls when needed
Experience & Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience working on diesel engines or heavy-duty vehicles (preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge of diesel systems, tools, and repair techniques
- Ability to read and follow work orders and maintenance schedules
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
- Own basic hand tools (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
