Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repair work.
Gather, organize, and return tools, parts, and equipment needed for repairs.
Perform basic preventative maintenance, including lubrication, fluid checks, and filter replacement.
Clean and prepare vehicles, equipment, and work areas before and after repairs.
Load, unload, and transport parts and materials as needed.
Remove and install basic components under the direction of a mechanic.
Inspect equipment and report visible damage or maintenance concerns.
Maintain inventory of commonly used shop supplies.
Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA regulations.
Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Assist mechanics with additional shop duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous mechanical, automotive, industrial, or construction experience preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
