Position: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Dolton, IL Manufacturing Facility
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Union Role: Once hired they will be on a 90-day probationary period, if passed they will become union member.
This is for Second Shift: 3:30 pm- 12:00 am; Some OT and weekends as needed for repairs
Position Summary: Inspects, identifies, diagnoses and corrects mechanical or minor electrical/instrumental problems. Fabricates, installs, adjusts, repairs, replaces parts, dismantles and rebuilds equipment/instruments to correct problems per schematics and work instructions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
This position requires a high school diploma minimum with trade school preferred.
Mechanical trade and welding skills may be required for this position along with the ability to comprehend piping schematics and blueprints.
Experience: Requires 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance operations or related field. Experience in the food or beverage industries a plus.
Essential Job Functions
Following prescribed guidelines and under general supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic performs the following duties:
General Working Environment
Duties will be performed both inside and outside of the manufacturing plant. Most inside processing locations, which are not heated or cooled will have a temperature range of 45°ree; F to 110°ree; F depending upon weather conditions. Outside work, when required, is exposed to the elements and temperature of –20°ree; F to 100°ree; F.
Work Relationships
In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor or other department leader, the Maintenance Mechanic will report to the Production Supervisor (primarily applies to Maintenance Mechanics on duty during evening and midnight shifts).
