About the RoleA growing company is looking for a hands-on Meat Department Manager to run the day-to-day operations of its meat department. This role blends operational oversight with customer-facing work, from managing inventory and supervising a small team to fulfilling custom cuts for shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Oversee daily operations of the meat department
• Manage inventory levels and place product orders
• Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, organized, and well-presented
• Supervise a team of 4–5 employees and coordinate daily workflow
• Maintain cleanliness, quality standards, and department organization

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product requests
• Prepare and fulfill custom meat cuts based on customer specifications
• Build positive relationships with customers and ensure a high-quality shopping experience

Schedule

• Sunday–Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a meat department or supermarket environment preferred
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to manage inventory and oversee daily operations
• Hands-on, dependable, and proactive
