This position is responsible for preparing and cutting meat for large-scale food production in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment. Previous experience in a meat market, butcher shop, food processing facility, or similar production environment strongly preferred.

Meat Cutter / Meat Processing Associate

Location: San Juan, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with some weekends as needed

 

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Meat Cutter for a busy food production facility in San Juan, TX. This position is responsible for preparing and cutting meat for large-scale food production in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

• Recent meat-cutting experience within the past 12 months is REQUIRED
• Recent hands-on experience operating a commercial band saw is REQUIRED
• Candidates without recent meat-cutting and band-saw experience will not be considered.

Job Duties:

• Safely operate a commercial band saw to cut meat to specified sizes
• Defrost and prepare meat for production
• Trim, portion, and cut meat according to production requirements
• Handle and move meat and materials throughout the production area
• Follow food safely, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work efficiently to meet daily production demands
• Assist with other food production duties as needed

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of recent meat-cutting experience, preferably within the past 12 months
• Recent experience using a commercial band saw
• Previous experience in a meat market, butcher shop, food processing facility, or similar production environment strongly preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment
