Miles Community College prepares students for success and provides opportunities for lifelong learning through equitable access, quality programs, community outreach, and partnerships. Miles Community College cares deeply about our community. The Member advances Miles Community College''s commitment to student success, civic responsibility, and community engagement by developing programs and services that expand student access to volunteer opportunities, address food insecurity and basic needs challenges, and establish sustainable partnerships between the college and the community. Through program development, educational initiatives, resource coordination, and data collection, the Member works to build organizational capacity, create engagement systems, and develop tools and frameworks that promote student wellbeing and success both inside and outside the classroom. This work is carried out through five key objectives: developing and implementing student civic engagement and community involvement programs; establishing volunteer recruitment systems and community partnerships; developing and implementing operational systems for Pioneer Pantry coordination to strengthen food security; creating marketing and awareness strategies for basic needs resources and support services; and designing and implementing data collection and evaluation systems to measure program impact and build ongoing capacity. Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement (MCNCE) serves as the intermediary for this project. MCNCE is a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to fostering civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across Montana. Led by CEOs from participating institutions, MCNCE works to improve community life and educate students on civic and social responsibility, preparing them to be thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged leaders.
