This is an opportunity to start with a clean slate, rather than revamping a decades-old missile.Job Responsibilities:Perform in a "Model Based Systems Engineering" (MBSE) environmentAnalyze users' requirements, concept of operations documents and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specificationsAnalyze system requirements and lead design and development activitiesGuide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studiesProvide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design and technologyIncorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operationsDevelop technical, system Architecture and system design documentationCollaborates with Product Owners regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated issuesTake responsibility for the technical integrity of systems engineering workJob Requirements:15+ years experience as a software and systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scopeBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university4 years of additional software or systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degreeExperience with SysML, UML, or other modeling languagesExcellent organizational and facilitation skillsSelf-starter able to step up to difficult challengesDesired Competencies:Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development (DO-178C, AFMAN 91-119, DO-330, etc.)Understanding of MIL-STD-882Clearance Requirements:Active DoD Security Clearance
