Job Title: MBD Controls Engineer
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MBD Controls Engineer to support the development, verification, and validation of control systems using Model-Based Design (MBD) methodologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, control algorithm development, testing, and system performance validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Perform model-based verification and validation to ensure compliance with system requirements and performance targets.
- Create, execute, and maintain unit and integration tests for control software and system functionality.
- Utilize MATLAB, Simulink, and FMI tools for simulation, testing, and analysis.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot control-related issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Support laboratory and system-level testing activities to improve product performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and sustainment efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in control algorithm development, implementation, verification, and validation.
- Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design (MBD).
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and system verification.
- Knowledge of thermal systems, simulations, and control system performance analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
