Position Summary
The BEA Applied STEM Institute at College of Eastern Idaho is seeking an engaging, creative, and student-centered Part-Time Instructor for the Math Momentum program, to inspire students through meaningful mathematics experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and competence. The successful candidate will facilitate weekly instructional sessions, develop dynamic lessons and learning activities, and integrate applied, project-based approaches that connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications. We are seeking an educator with experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, who believes in the potential of every learner and is passionate about helping students develop mathematical confidence, resilience, and a growth mindset. The ideal candidate understands that success in math begins with helping students see themselves as capable problem-solvers and lifelong learners.
This position reports to the Director of the BEA Applied STEM Institute and as directed, will collaborate with College of Eastern Idaho faculty and staff, community partners, and secondary education stakeholders to support program goals and student success.
Math Momentum is a weekly, after-school math coaching program designed to help students strengthen mathematical skills while developing the confidence and mindset needed to succeed in future coursework, careers, and life. Through creative instruction and real-world applications, the instructor will help students discover that mathematics is not just a school subject, but a valuable tool for solving problems, exploring opportunities, and understanding the world around them.
If you have ever dreamed of teaching math in an environment focused on inspiration, where creativity, hands-on learning, and student engagement are encouraged, this may be the perfect opportunity.
