Materials Warehouse Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill inventory IT requests from both on-site and remote offices, including creating shipping labels and packaging IT equipment such as servers, laptops, desktops, etc.
  • Perform basic inventory duties, asset tagging, scanning equipment, and restocking warehouse supplies.
  • Process all incoming IT equipment received into the inventory database accurately.
  • Set up and test new and existing hardware, including laptops, MiFi devices, monitors, docking stations, and desktops.
  • Conduct weekly audits against the internal inventory database and on-site warehouse to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including breaking down boxes and discarding trash.
  • Process orders within lead times to maintain optimal on-hand stock levels.
  • Obtain in-depth knowledge of all supported hardware stored within the inventory warehouse.
  • Properly disposition IT equipment following established procedures.
  • Ensure the inventory database is accurately maintained and tracked.
  • Support various teams including Telecom, Server, Desktop Support, and Network.
  • Perform physical tasks such as occasionally lifting/carrying 10-50 pounds, and operate in an office environment performing sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling as needed.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in warehouse or inventory management preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware and equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 10-50 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support multiple teams.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic office equipment.
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with a one-hour lunch, Day Shift.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, reach, walk, twist, and kneel as necessary within an office and warehouse environment.
