    Position Summary

    We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Materials Manager to lead all aspects of materials planning, inventory control, and materials management for our West Chester manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring uninterrupted production through effective supply chain execution, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    The Materials Manager will lead a team responsible for planning, procurement, inventory management, and material flow within a high-volume, lean manufacturing environment. Success in this role will be measured through key performance indicators including inventory turns, on-time delivery, service levels, and inventory accuracy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead materials planning, inventory control, and replenishment activities to support production and customer demand.
    • Manage raw material inventory using SAP/MRP systems while optimizing inventory levels and material flow.
    • Develop and execute materials strategies that support business objectives, operational performance, and inventory targets.
    • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Oversee new product introductions, material lifecycle management, and inventory compliance processes.
    • Lead, coach, and develop the materials team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in materials management within a manufacturing environment.
    • 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
    • Experience working with MRP systems and inventory control processes.
    • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and materials planning.
    • Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and improve operational processes.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related discipline.
    • APICS CPIM certification.
    • Experience implementing Kanban or other Lean inventory systems.
    • Strong background in inventory management, operations, and supply chain planning.
    • Experience with visual management and daily management systems.
    • SAP experience preferred.
