    Archer Well Services are currently looking for a Materials Manager for our global team. This role will be accountable for the end-to-end planning, availability, management and optimisation of materials and inventory required to support customer operations, service delivery, equipment readiness and sustainable business growth, while maximising working capital efficiency.

    The role owns demand planning, inventory strategy, material availability, ERP and Warehouse Management Systems discipline, inventory stratification, warehouse deployment and network optimisation across warehouses, branches and regional stocking locations. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the Materials Manager ensures the right materials are available at the right location, at the right time, in the right quantity and at the right cost.

    The role is responsible for balancing service levels, operational risk and supply-chain resilience with inventory investment and working-capital efficiency, driving an optimised inventory portfolio that supports business growth while minimising excess, obsolete and inefficiently positioned stock

    Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline. Relevant professional experience and industry qualifications may be considered in lieu of a specific degree discipline.
    • Professional qualification in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, APICS/ASCM (CPIM/CSCP) or equivalent is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Min 8 years of progressive experience in material management, inventory management, supply chain or warehouse operations, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Energy.
    • Proven experience managing inventory across multiple warehouses, branches or regional locations.
    • Strong experience in demand planning, MRP, inventory stratification, inventory optimisation and warehouse management
    • Demonstrated experience with ERP/WMS systems, including material master data, inventory transactions, MRP parameters and system discipline.
    • Experience as a process owner or key business lead for ERP implementation, migration, process mapping or transformation projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate in a complex, multi-location and customer-driven environment, balancing service level, operational risk and inventory investment.
    • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
