Develops and coaches direct reports on performance and competenciesRECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Mgmt, Business, or Engineering5 years' experience in planning and scheduling5 years' experience in buying steel strip, sheet, and coil5 years' experience in a leadership role, driving performance and cultural changeIATF16949/ AS9100 knowledge and awarenessBroad knowledge of purchasing transactions, contract negotiations, training and developmentStrong technical skills and resourceful in providing alternate options to reduce costs/ improve processesSolid knowledge and understanding of the philosophy, principles and objectives of MRP and ERPAbility to interpret product, technical and/or contract informationWhy SPIROL?At SPIROL, people matter.

SIGN ON BONUS - $5,000The Materials Manager is responsible for Purchasing, Scheduling and Inventory planning of the manufacturing site to achieve customer satisfaction, along with efficient production output and inventory objectives. The role is key in capacity planning and constraint management, balancing inventory levels and customer service. In addition, this position is responsible for leading the Procurement Team and developing strategic procurement plans for raw materials, supplies and outside processes / services.
