    Description

    Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for a Materials Manager to join our team in Belen, NM. In this role, the Materials Manager is responsible for executing the materials plan through strategic supplier relationships and a team of direct reports.

    Location: Belen, NM

    Responsibilities:

    • The accuracy and organization of all tower parts inventory.
    • The execution of the Cycle Count program.
    • Managing the Shortage Report.
    • Addressing any negative on hands.
    • Manage the Red Tag / Non-Compliant warehouse efficiently and effectively.
    • Weekly Usage Variance counts and reporting.
    • Manage slow-moving material.
    • The control of all appropriate material procedures and policies.
    • Plan and lead the execution of semi-annual physical inventory.
    • Oversee the receipt of all inbound shipments.
    • Effectively communicate with customers regarding tower shipping.
    • Coordinate and oversee your end of all interplant shipments.
    • Responsible for all receiving personnel and receiving functions.
    • Ensure all receiving processes are followed accurately and timely.
    • Ensure that all paperwork is completed and accurately entered into BPCS.
    • Manage the Materials Administrator, Materials Supervisor, and all Materials employees.
    • Everything involving tower parts inventory.
    • Work with Supply Chain to ensure you never run out of material.
    • Weekly and monthly SOX reporting.
    • Weekly and monthly Scrap reporting.
    • Reporting End of Month transactions and reports to accounting.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related discipline is preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; 3 of which need to be in a supervisory capacity.
    • APICS certification is a plus.
    • Ability to operate all the machinery used by your team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel (Intermediate to Advanced), Word and Outlook.
    • Ability to read/interpret blueprints, drawings, or other technical material.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
    • Adaptable organizational skills.
    • Attention to detail.

    Working Conditions:

    • Full-time position, M-F, Mandatory OT can be required including weekends
    • Safety sensitive role
    • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
    • This position frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
    • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
    • This position may require infrequent travel, including operation of a company vehicle
