Job Summary:This role is responsible for establishing and overseeing all warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and accurate inventory tracking. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing practical warehouse processes without a mature ERP system, ensuring efficient material flow. Leading a small team and coordinating closely with production planning and engineering will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all inbound receiving, verifying shipments and processing documentation.
- Coordinate outbound shipping for returns, transfers, and supplier exchanges.
- Develop and maintain inventory tracking systems for a high-variety, low-volume environment.
- Organize warehouse layout and kit materials for production.
- Lead and develop a team of material handlers and receiving specialists.
- Proven experience building warehouse processes from the ground up.
- Proficiency in managing inventory without a fully implemented ERP system.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small operational team.
- Experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment dealing with a high volume of diverse and unique part numbers is preferred.
