A growing industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Materials & Logistics Manager to oversee the movement, tracking, and coordination of customer products throughout the production lifecycle. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining workflow visibility, supporting shipping operations, and coordinating internal and external logistics activities.

What You'll Be Doing

Inventory Receipt & Verification:
Manage incoming customer and production materials upon arrival.
Confirm product identification, quantities, and accompanying documentation.
Investigate and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged shipments.
Ensure work orders and processing paperwork are properly matched to incoming materials.

Material Tracking & Inventory Accuracy:
Maintain accurate location records for inventory and work-in-process.
Utilize ERP and scanning systems to track movement throughout operations.
Support inventory visibility by ensuring materials are correctly staged and recorded.
Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.

Production Support & Workflow Coordination:
Coordinate movement of materials between operational departments.
Align material transfers with production schedules and customer priorities.
Monitor work-in-process to help eliminate delays and bottlenecks.
Collaborate with production personnel to maintain efficient workflow.

Shipping & Distribution:
Review shipping documentation for accuracy prior to release.
Verify product counts, customer specifications, and order requirements.
Help ensure shipments leave complete, accurate, and on schedule.
Maintain compliance with customer and internal shipping procedures.

Transportation & Freight Coordination:
Arrange inbound and outbound transportation as needed.
Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding logistics activities.
Track deliveries and assist in resolving transportation-related issues.
Monitor shipping schedules to support customer commitments.

Customer & Internal Communication:
Provide status updates regarding order progress and shipment readiness.
Serve as a point of contact for logistics-related inquiries.
Work closely with operations, customer service, and production teams to ensure information remains accurate and timely.

What We're Looking For:
3+ years of experience in materials management, logistics, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing environment.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience preferred.
Familiarity with ERP, inventory control, or warehouse management systems.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required for candidates with relevant experience.
