Materials Handling, Inc. - Assembler - 1st Shift

Pay Rate: $14-$16.25/hr

Summary:

• 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

• Assemble lift trucks and components within a specified cycle time.
• Test, inspect, make adjustments, and reject parts/materials as necessary.
• Ensure proper care and usage of assembly tools, equipment, and maintain general housekeeping.
• Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
• Accept responsibility for the quality of work performed.
• Document processes using the BAM system.
• Maintain adherence to quality standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Be available to work either shift, flexible with work assignments, and available for overtime as required.
• Maintain the work area and participate in developmental programs as identified by the company.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of assembly processes and tools.
• Ability to read and make decisions from SOEs, OMS, shop orders, operation sheets, prints, diagrams, and instructions.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Safety knowledge in a manufacturing environment and proper use of PPE.
• Familiarity with DFT techniques.

Preferred Skills:

• National Career Readiness Certification is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage time to maintain an acceptable level of attendance.
• Exhibit willingness to participate in training deemed necessary by management to assist in the development of basic and technical skills.
