Materials Handler I - WarehouseThe Materials Handler I – Warehouse is responsible for receiving, stocking and/or delivering parts to the designated shop area. They will also be responsible for tracking and transferring parts to designated locations using the inventory system.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Verify packing list on all incoming shipments, enter parts and quantity into inventory system and make sure all parts are received into the system by the end of the day
- Stock parts into correct designated bin locations in the warehouse
- Pull parts as needed for the shop and field and document all transfers in the inventory system
- Assist Field Service Technicians and Shop Technicians with parts requests as needed
- Assist with purchasing as needed
- Will have call-out rotation responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Competencies
- Basic mathematical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other software tools and applications that are beneficial to the position
- Communicate information effectively with all levels of co-workers, customers and vendors by telephone, written form, email or in person
- Ability to process shipping and receiving
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Knowledge of stationary gas engines and compressors and their associated components
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED. An additional 4 years of work experience may substitute for the diploma or GED.
- 1+ years equivalent work experience in material handling or in related field
