We’re looking for a Materials Engineer II to support EPT Products and contribute to materials development, laboratory testing, materials characterization, and failure analysis.

What We’re Looking For

 We’re seeking a hands-on Materials Engineer who is comfortable working in a laboratory environment and can apply knowledge of metals, electrochemistry, and material behavior to real-world product challenges.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, analyzing data, working cross-functionally, and translating laboratory findings into practical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct laboratory testing, materials characterization, and failure analysis to support product development and issue resolution.

·       Analyze materials and their interactions with the body and surrounding environment.

·       Correlate material properties with product performance and help predict potential failure modes.

·       Apply principles of chemistry, physics, electrochemistry, and material behavior to engineering applications.

·       Support the development and optimization of metallic, nonmetallic, and composite materials and related processing methods.

·       Develop and analyze material properties, processing specifications, and quality engineering requirements.

·       Support material analysis, failure investigations, and life-prediction activities.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams to develop technical solutions and achieve project objectives.

·       Review technical documentation and extract critical information to support engineering decisions.

Must-Have Qualifications

·       University degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.

·       Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

·       Hands-on laboratory experience.

·       Strong knowledge of metals and materials.

·       Strong knowledge of electrochemistry.

·       Understanding of material properties, material behavior, and material interactions with the body and environment.

·       Ability to connect material properties to product performance and potential failure modes.

·       Provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals when needed.
