Description
Job Title: Materials Designer III
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 13 months
Hybrid: Mon Thurs onsite, Fri remote
Role Summary:
- Location and/or time zone: PHK, some Fridays will be on campus
- Team details & who they will work with: In line work for SB, partnerships, and signature and core products
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum required years of experience: 5+ YOE in Creative Footwear Material Design
- Education requirements: Bachelors or equivalent experience
Must have skills:
- Experience working on multiple segments of a line
- Interest or knowledge in Skateboarding, sneaker culture, or streetwear
- Portfolio: Examples of recent work, come in with ideas for the SB brand, shows taste level and approach to the project, shows process of design - successes and failures
Nice to have skills:
- Basic understanding of Leathers, canvases, uppers, synthetics, wovens, and meshes. Bonus - footwear trims
- Understands the business aspects of material design
- Technical knowledge of materials
