Are you an experienced materials and inventory professional with a background in regulated manufacturing? Our client is seeking a Materials Control Supervisor to lead inventory, shipping, receiving, and material flow operations across multiple manufacturing sites. What You'll Do

As the Materials Control Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of a team responsible for inventory management, material movement, shipping, receiving, and production support within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the materials control team, including coaching and developing 3–5 Material Associates.
  • Oversee inventory control activities, including receiving, verification, cycle counts, and physical inventories across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities while ensuring product quality and customer requirements are met.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing Operations to prioritize work, resolve material constraints, and support production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, material availability, work order completion, and inventory transactions.
  • Track material shortages and ensure timely delivery of materials to production.
  • Expedite materials and collaborate with Procurement, Inventory Control, Production, Accounting, and Finance to resolve inventory and purchasing issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support work order management.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, ITAR, and other applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the security and organization of stockrooms supporting multiple shifts.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage inventory and material planning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in materials, inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working in GMP, FDA, ISO, ITAR, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, material planning, shipping and receiving, and work order-driven manufacturing.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems; Acumatica experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of lot and serial number inventory management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education

  • Associate degree preferred, or
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a combination of relevant education and experience.
