What You'll Do as a Materials Control Clerk:- Create and send purchase orders in the ERP system
- Review material demand and issue purchase orders to approved suppliers
- Create and maintain product and vendor records, including pricing updates
- Work with receiving to resolve material discrepancies and nonconforming products
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, order status, delivery needs, and quality concerns
- Research product pricing and availability and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery and defective products
What You Need to Bring to the Materials Control Clerk Role:- 2+ years of procurement experience
- Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM/ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and adapt to frequently changing priorities
- Ability to travel to local suppliers as needed
- Ability to regularly lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred; ERP experience and professional certifications such as CPM, APICS, or P.E. are also preferred
