Job Description:
Analytical Mechanics Associates, Inc. (AMA) of Hampton, VA is actively seeking an entry to early career level Mechanical Engineer with experience in both Materials & Processes and Contamination Control in support of spaceflight hardware. The qualified candidate will provide technical solutions and expertise to a wide range of difficult problems surrounding the design, analysis, manufacture, testing, preparation and storage of sensitive flight project components to be utilized for both research and spaceflight. This position will support the Research, Science and Engineering Services (RSES) contract onsite at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for the development and review of hardware requirements, assessing material selection and its application in spaceflight environments, contamination control processes and their application, effective communication with other engineering and management personnel, and overseeing the contamination control processes during assembly, integration, storage, shipment, and testing of spaceflight hardware.
The salary range for this position is $73,000 to $124,000 commensurate with education and experience.
