Description

Position Summary
The Material Transfer & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring material transfers between the San Diego and Tijuana facilities to ensure uninterrupted production support and efficient supply chain operations. This position oversees the timely movement of materials, inventory accuracy, shipping documentation, and system transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies and cross-border logistics requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily material transfers and shipments between San Diego and Tijuana facilities.
  • Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time delivery of materials to support production requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping, receiving, and transfer documentation.
  • Execute and track inventory transactions in Oracle ERP, including shipping, receiving, and inventory transfers.
  • Follow up on urgent material requests, shortages, and critical production requirements.
  • Collaborate with Transportation, Customs, Planning, Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Monitor and reconcile in-transit inventory, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Generate reports related to shipment performance, transfer activities, inventory status, and service levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing lead times and improving material flow efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, inventory control policies, and international trade regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Oracle EBS experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with cross-functional coordination between U.S. and Mexico operations
  • Bilingual
