SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Material Support Technician (Swing Shift) to support an opportunity at Davis Monthan AFB.
Position Overview Section
The Material Support Technician will perform depot material-control and supply functions as a Production Support Technician (PST). Responsibilities include identifying and resolving parts-supportability issues, researching component availability, initiating purchase requests, maintaining appropriate stock levels, processing material transactions, and supporting hazardous-material management.
The position requires strong knowledge of supply and logistics processes, attention to detail, research and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with maintenance production personnel.
Essential Job Functions
Depot Material Control and Production Support
Material Availability and Inventory Operations
Hazardous Material Management
Perform maintenance material operations involving hazardous materials using the Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS) or current authorized hazardous-material tracking system.
Authorize, order, receive, issue, and account for hazardous materials in accordance with applicable Air Force environmental, safety, and occupational health requirements.
Maintain accurate hazardous-material inventory and transaction records.
Build management reports identifying:
Reorder requirements
Shelf-life information
Inventory levels
Back-order status
Ensure hazardous materials are properly stored in accordance with applicable guidance.
Comply with area-specific controls and procedures established by local environmental management organizations.
Ensure hazardous-material lockers and storage areas remain compliant with applicable requirements.
Support EESOH-MIS/hazardous-material
Technical Research and Stock-Level Management
Research technical requirements, catalogs, and logistics databases to identify cost-effective available substitutes and replacement products.
Coordinate with Production Support personnel to evaluate alternative parts and materials.
Determine appropriate stock levels for recurring and specialized items based on:
Historical usage
Current inventory
Project requirements
Seasonal demands
Changing customer requirements
Project depletion rates
Analyze usage and demand trends to help maintain adequate material availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Supply System Transactions
Accurately process supply transactions in the Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S) and other applicable Government systems.
Process transactions including:
Issue requests
Due-In for Maintenance (DIFM) updates
Item record and part-number loads
Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAP) verification
Lateral shipments
Standard supply system transactions
Verify transaction information for accuracy and completeness.
Research and correct transaction discrepancies as required.
Maintain accurate electronic records supporting material accountability and production operations.
Government Logistics Data Research
Research Government web-based logistics data systems and prepare required reports.
Use applicable systems and research tools, including:
Air Force Supply Central Database (AFSCDB) Tableau

Federal Logistics Data (Fed LOG)
Federal Logistics Information System Web Search (Web FLIS)
Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS)
Basing and Logistics Analytics Data (BLADE)
DoD email and other authorized Government systems
Cross-reference logistics databases to validate part numbers, availability, transaction history, and other supply information.
Apply research findings to support material decisions and resolve supply issues.
Bench Stock, Shop Stock, and Operating Stock
Procurement Research
Material Turn-In and Shipping Preparation
