Job Summary:
We are looking for a Materials Program Manager to support the development and production of innovative, custom hardware products. In this role, you will work across engineering, supply chain, operations, procurement, and external suppliers to help ensure programs meet their cost, schedule, and production milestones.
You will act as a key business partner to technical and operations teams, tracking program costs, schedules, supplier performance, and financial risks.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with engineering and supply chain teams to establish program cost and schedule targets.
- Track actual costs and milestones against targets and identify gaps requiring corrective action.
- Coordinate timely procurement and delivery of components for new product introduction (NPI) and production builds.
- Participate in and lead NPI meetings to understand how engineering and process changes affect product costs.
- Work with third-party suppliers on purchase-order costs and commercial requirements.
- Support SOW development and supplier/product contract negotiations.
- Manage purchase price variance issues and schedule impacts caused by engineering changes, component obsolescence, or forecast changes.
- Partner with supply chain and operations teams to identify and forecast cost-reduction opportunities.
- Coordinate across multiple teams to resolve issues and minimize escalations.
- Prepare and communicate program performance related to budget, cost, and schedule.
Required Qualifications- 0–2 years of relevant professional experience is specified in the requisition.
- Some technical ability or technical knowledge.
- Strong willingness to learn and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work with engineering, supply chain, operations, and supplier teams.
- Electrical or mechanical experience is a plus.
- Degree or certification is preferred but not required.
