Material Program Manager

PGS Worldwide is seeking Material Program Managers for approximately six-month remote contract-to-hire roles supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will serve as the primary supply-chain interface between program management, procurement, suppliers, engineering, quality, operations, and other functional teams. The Material Program Managers will drive material availability, supplier performance, purchase-order execution, forecasting, and supply-chain activities required to meet program and customer deployment schedules.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• Entry-level track: At least 1 year of experience in supply chain management, procurement, subcontracts, or a similar function.
• Experienced track: 2 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, subcontracts, or a similar function.
• Prior experience working directly with suppliers or supporting supplier management.
• Experienced-track candidates should have at least 2 years of supplier-management experience.
• Experience coordinating material, procurement, or supplier activities across multiple functional organizations.
• Ability to track and communicate purchase-order, requisition, supplier-delivery, and material-availability status.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Experience with MRP, SAP, Kinaxis, or similar supply-chain systems.
• Strong supplier-management experience.
• Experience supporting proposals, bill-of-material pricing, or Basis of Estimate development.
• Experience with Earned Value Management System concepts.
• Master's degree in business, management, finance, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Comfort presenting supply-chain status to program leadership and internal customers.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate supply-chain strategy with procurement and acquisition teams.
• Drive timely placement and execution of purchase orders.
• Manage strategic suppliers and lead regular supplier-status reviews.
• Track aging requisitions, past-due purchase orders, supplier on-time delivery, and other performance metrics.
• Expedite critical materials to support customer and program deployment schedules.
• Use line-of-balance tracking to monitor material availability.
• Work with program management, engineering, quality, operations, and materials teams to resolve supply-chain issues.
• Represent supply chain during program and stakeholder meetings.
• Prepare and present supplier and material-status updates.
• Support monthly supply-chain sales forecasts.
• Support customer proposals, including bill-of-material pricing and Basis of Estimate development.
• Resolve day-to-day program-critical material and supplier issues.
• Complete required Material Program Manager and EVMS training within the required timeframe.

• 9/80A work schedule.

Pay

• $46.01 $50.25 per hour.
• All hours paid at the standard hourly rate; no overtime premium.
