    We are looking for an on-site Material Planner to support our team at our corporate location in Blue Ash, Ohio.

    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for supply planning, coordinating and optimizing the flow of materials to meet demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing risk to stock outs. Working relationships with Product Management to manage forecast in MRP system. Working with engineering to commercialize NPD products and phase in engineering change notices to minimize inventory impact. This includes managing the MRP system set up. Minimize the company's exposure to excess and obsolete inventory. Provides guidance to Buyers and others throughout the organization. Develop strong professional relationships with our internal customers.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Analyzing available data from demand planning, inventory reports, product management and other resources to maintain inventory levels to meet demand but limit stock outs
    • Integral part in managing excess and obsolete inventory
    • Recommending changes to the way the company handles inventory to achieve days on hand goals
    • Working with product management to anticipate factors that might influence demand, such as seasonal slowdowns or upcoming promotions
    • Managing the storage of inventory and materials
    • Leadership role in facilitating our inventory exposure and reporting out goals and status of inventory levels to management
    • Maintaining enough inventory to meet demands without overstocking
    • Collaborating with operations, production and other supply chain department team members to help identify opportunities for inventory reductions
    • Participates with a key role in our S&OP process.
    • Responsible for setting up the MRP system for commercialization of NPD projects
    • Enhance, monitor, and act on Key Performance indicators & dashboards.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Enhancement of procedures, including but not limited to supply chain emergency escalation.
    • Handles confidential information with tact and discretion.
    • Supervise, evaluate, and coach subordinates (if applicable).
    • Contributes to a friendly and team building culture
    • Travel to other Company locations and supplier visits as needed.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree minimum required.
    • APICS Certification preferred.
    • JD Edwards / Oracle ERP System experience preferred.
