Material Planner Assistant

Responsibilities: Provide counter service to MBTA bus and light rail employees, assisting with identifying, researching, and issuing requested parts and equipment. Adecco is searching for a qualified Material Planner Assistant in West Bridgewater! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Hours: 6:00AM-1:30PM, Monday-Friday

Pay: $21/hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide counter service to MBTA bus and light rail employees, assisting with identifying, researching, and issuing requested parts and equipment.

• Receive, inspect, organize, and distribute incoming and outgoing materials.

• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliations while maintaining at least 98% accuracy.

• Monitor inventory levels and recommend minimum and maximum stocking quantities.

• Verify materials against receiving, shipping, and inventory documents; identify and report discrepancies or damaged items.

• Enter requisitions, receiving documents, and inventory transactions into the inventory management system.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with researching missing or misidentified materials.

• Maintain a clean, organized stockroom through daily 5S activities.

• Operate hand trucks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as needed.

• Occasionally drive to local vendors to pick up parts, verify invoices, and return materials to the assigned location.

• Receive materials from the main warehouse and other locations by 8:00 AM.

• Provide warehouse support during emergencies and follow all established safety and operational procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse, inventory control, material handling, or stockroom experience preferred.

• Strong customer service, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems and data entry.

• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory procedures, and cycle counting.

• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

• Valid driver's license and ability to occasionally travel for vendor pickups.

• Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including lifting, moving, and organizing materials.

• Must follow all company and MBTA safety procedures and wear required PPE and company-provided shirts.

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
