Description
Lead and develop a cross-functional materials team, including Assistant Material Managers, Logistics Specialists, Coordinators, and Planners
Establish and maintain standardized systems and processes to ensure accurate, timely reporting and data integrity
Partner with manufacturing and customers to align production schedules, transportation, and inventory levels to meet demand
Ensure receiving processes and system transactions are accurate to protect inventory integrity and system reliability
Drive team performance through coaching, development, and ongoing evaluation to meet current and future business needs
Manage supplier relationships with a focus on performance, accountability, and alignment to operational objectives
Oversee end-to-end material flow, ensuring timely procurement of production and service components
Monitor inventory health, cycle counts, and accuracy to consistently meet company targets
Evaluate equipment and service capabilities to ensure alignment with production volumes and operational demands
Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across materials, logistics, and packaging functions
Establish and track key operating indicators (KOIs), driving accountability to achieve business goals
Oversee packaging and logistics strategies, including premium freight reduction, routing optimization, and customer compliance (CLIPS)
Maintain and optimize PFEP (Plan for Every Part), ensuring effective Min/Max inventory levels across all locations
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company standards and operational requirements
Promote a safe work environment by adhering to and reinforcing emergency and safety protocols
Support additional business needs and initiatives as required by leadership
