You touch down at a high-volume distribution hub where conveyors hum and robotic arms orchestrate the flow of packages. You walk the line, listening for out-of-spec bearings, scanning CMMS work orders, and planning a preventive maintenance window that keeps uptime high and risk low. A sensor fault flashes on a conveyor zone controller; you trace the issue with a meter, inspect the schematic, swap a relay, and document the corrective action before partnering with operations to release the line. By afternoon, you’re assisting on an upgrade to a sorter, validating settings, and coaching operators on safe startup.

What you’ll tackle

  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyors, motors, sensors, relays, and robotic subsystems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to reduce downtime and stabilize throughput.
  • Assist with installs, retrofits, and upgrades across automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Capture accurate work details and parts usage in the CMMS.
  • Collaborate across maintenance, operations, and engineering to drive safety and continuous improvement.
  • Uphold a safety-first approach and reliability standards in every task.
  • Manage tools, spares, and inventory to ensure readiness.
  • Work in a fast-moving environment; stand and walk for extended periods; occasionally lift up to 49 lbs.

What you bring

  • 2+ years working with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years repairing material handling equipment.
  • Proven preventive/predictive maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints; solid grasp of electronic principles.
  • Familiarity with MHE safety practices and adherence to OEM specifications.
  • Experience with robotics or electromechanical systems is a significant plus.
  • Project coordination and/or CMMS experience preferred.
  • A self-starter mindset with strong troubleshooting skills and teamwork.
