Hire Up Staffing is hiring a Material Handler for a great temp-to-hire opportunity in West Sacramento, CA. Were looking for a dependable, safety-minded warehouse professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and operating material-handling equipment.
Pay: $22/hour
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM4:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Load, unload, and move materials within and around the warehouse
- Load and offload trucks using a forklift
- Fill orders and issue materials and supplies according to requests
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, hand trucks, and dollies
- Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
- Work independently while meeting daily productivity and accuracy expectations
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred
- Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Ability to safely lift, push, carry, and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read labels, tickets, and product documentation
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures
- Reliable and able to work a full-time, 40-hour workweek
- Must be at least 18 years old
