    About Company

In the early 1900’s Michael J. Maguire emigrated from Ireland to the Newton/Waltham area where he worked in the plumbing industry. He served in the United States Army during WW1 and following discharge, he continued working in the plumbing industry.

Circa 1922 he began providing plumbing and steam heating services as Michael J. Maguire Plumbing and Heating with three employees working on residential projects. Michael Maguire’s three sons William, Robert and Michael became master plumbers. His second son, Robert, grew the business to include commercial service and construction projects and incorporated the firm in 1969 as Maguire Company, Inc.

Robert’s second son, Dennis V. Maguire, became a master plumber and has continued the family tradition. Today the Maguire Company, Inc. is a vibrant third-generation family owned and operated corporation providing a wide range of plumbing, heating, mechanical contracting services to residential, commercial and institutional clients.
