Job Description
We are seeking a Material Handler to support material movement, inventory, shipping, receiving, and stock replenishment activities at Robins Air Force Base. This is a physically demanding, onsite position requiring the candidate to remain on their feet for most of the shift and handle materials using carts, hand trucks, pallets, racks, conveyors, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines.
- Move and convey materials within the plant, yard, or worksite.
- Open containers using appropriate hand tools.
- Count, weigh, and record material information accurately.
- Sort and place materials in designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL).
- Perform inventory activities using a Windows tablet.
- Order materials for bin replenishment using handheld tablets and scanners.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities.
- Stack and assemble materials as directed.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material records.
- Follow all safety, security, PPE, and site-access requirements.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain required site/security clearance.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current vehicle insurance and vehicle registration.
- Ability to drive a personal vehicle onto Robins Air Force Base.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear.
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift.
- Ability to perform physically demanding material-handling activities.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office/Microsoft Suite experience.
- Ability to use Windows tablets, handheld scanners, and inventory systems.
- Prior material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience is preferred.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent warehouse/material-handling experience may be considered.
