    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials, components, and supplies throughout the plant while maintaining accurate inventory records. The Material Handler will work closely with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure materials are available when needed, production schedules are met, and safety and quality standards are maintained. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, team-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Material Handling & Inventory Control

    • Transfer incoming materials from Receiving to warehouse and production areas.
    • Move materials between departments as needed to support operations.
    • Replenish production lines to maintain required TAKT times.
    • Assign and relocate inventory accurately both physically and within JD Edwards.
    • Pre-stage components for work order completion.
    • Verify part receipts and conduct cycle counts in accordance with ABC inventory procedures.
    • Track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
    • Support MRB-related non-conformance processes.
    • Verify and maintain non-inventory bulk items and bin locations

    Shipping & Receiving

    • Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
    • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality and quantity accuracy.
    • Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and documentation.
    • Report damaged materials or inventory discrepancies promptly.

    Documentation & Quality

    • Complete production logs, inventory transactions, work orders, and related documentation accurately.
    • Document quality issues, defects, and deviations from standard procedures.
    • Perform quality inspections in accordance with company standards and ISO requirements.

    Safety & Housekeeping

    • Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
    • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
    • Report safety hazards, incidents, and equipment malfunctions immediately.
    • Participate in monthly EHS training and maintain required equipment certifications.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED), required
    • 1 - 2 years' experience in Material Handling or manufacturing environment, preferred
    • Ability to operate fork trucks, preferred
    • Demonstrated time management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability
    • General computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, and Microsoft Outlook)
    • Ability to lift up to 35lbs

    Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

    • Fully site based
    • Climate controlled manufacturing plant
    • Protective eyewear and footwear required
