Material Handler

Summary:

• Responsible for ensuring all inventory is maintained accurately and provided to required areas in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Put materials away in warehouse stock using specific part number, lot number, quantity, and location for all material.
• Transport materials (e.g., production and non-production materials) using carts, forklift, pallet jack, or truck to the designated location.
• Participate in and complete cycle count activities on a weekly basis.
• Perform system transactions to clearly identify the status of material.
• Examine all packages visually at the time of delivery for any damage, and compare the identity and quantities listed on the packing slips, invoices, and freight bills to the packages to ensure the information is accurate.
• Lift packages up to 50 lbs.
• Support all company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
• Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
• Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP inventory system preferred but not required.
• A forklift license may be required to perform warehouse duties when needed.
