Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support warehouse and distribution operations in a climate-controlled environment. The ideal candidate will assist with order picking, packing, barcode scanning, pallet building, shipment preparation, and inventory-related activities while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Scan barcodes, retrieve products, label boxes, and process orders using RF scanner technology.
- Verify order accuracy and prepare shipments for dispatch.
- Build pallets by scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders.
- Re-palletize products for shipment as required.
- Scan completed pallets and operated shrink-wrapping equipment when assigned.
- Transport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE), as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and applicable quality requirements.
- Completely required RF device training and maintain current training certifications or modules.
- Follow all safety and security procedures and promptly report accidents, hazards, injuries, and suspicious activities.
- Participate in cross-training and assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications- High school diploma, GED, or at least one year of relevant experience.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn RF scanning systems.
- Good verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with a team.
- General knowledge of warehouses or distribution operations.
- Walkie Rider (motorized pallet jack) experience preferred.
- Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
