Material Handler/Crane Operator
Delta Ohio
2nd shift 3 pm - 11 pm $21.51 Paid Weekly
3rd Shift - 11 pm - 7 am $22.01 Paid Weekly
We are seeking experienced Material Handlers / Overhead Crane Operators to work in a steel processing and manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate a remote overhead crane, forklift, and other material-handling equipment
- Load and unload trucks
- Move and store finished steel products throughout the warehouse
- Receive incoming materials and enter information into the computer system
- Stage loads and prepare materials for shipment
- Band materials and generate identification tags
- Inspect steel coils for correct gauge, width, and visible damage
- Maintain accurate inventory and production records
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
Requirements
- Previous remote overhead crane experience required
- Previous forklift experience required
- Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand, bend, twist and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Previous steel processing or manufacturing experience is a plus.
