Job Title: Material Hander Pay: $20.00/hr. - Paid Weekly Hours: Monday to Friday (5:00 am to 3:30 pm) OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED Sims-Lohman is seeking a Material Handler at our Smyrna, Tennessee Distribution Center. Responsibilities - Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, electric pallet jack, dollys to load and unload materials
- Build and assemble pallets and containers for shipping and distribution
- Perform order picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements: - Minimum two years previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts and EPJs, in a safe and efficient manner
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Experience: - Warehouse Material Handling: 2 years (Required)
- Ability to operate equipment efficiently - Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) and Forklift
